End of Summer Beach Day
As summer comes to a close it’s time to get out and savor every last bit of warm weather. Last weekend I spent Saturday at Seabright Beach down in Santa Cruz for a warm day of lounging on the shore. Just kidding, the beach was a cool 60° (which is apparently totally normal in Northern California), so this beach day was more of a hang out in sweatshirts and catch a view the ocean kind of day.
I have been living in my Aerie bathing suits and cover up this summer. After Victoria’s Secret shut down their bathing suit line last summer Aerie answered. Between their on-trend styles and #AerieREAL attitude I absolutely love their swimwear. My personal favorite is the Crop Lace Trim bikini top because of the high neck.
I don’t consider makeup an essential part of the beach experience, in fact I rarely wear makeup to the beach, but because I knew there would be no laying out I decided to go for a minimal look. I passed on a tinted base and instead used my favorite face SPF, the Algenist Sublime Defense Fluid along with the Fresh Sugar Sport Treatment on my lips. For makeup I only used 3 products- Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara in waterproof to add a little lash definition, Glossier Boy Brow to tame my brows in the beach wind, and Glossier Haloscope because who doesn’t want to look glowy at the beach. I dabbed on some Replica Beach Walk fragrance and spritzed the Vernon Francois Dazzling Shine Spray in my hair, and I was off to the beach!
